Magic Maker Candle--our grooviest vendor yet.
This vendor is new to Boho Saint Jo, but we are so glad they crossed paths with us. We love to hear the stories of vendors that just start their projects for fun or for family and friends, but have had such a surge in demand that they decide to take that leap into small business. That seems to be the story of our newest vendor, Magic Maker, and we are honored to help them share their story.
Magic Maker Candles began about 8 months ago creator Laura Stout decided to combine her love for candles, crystals, and music and make a small business out of it. She thought she would just do a few farmers markets here and there, but little did Laura know, there would be such a demand for Magic Maker Candles that she is now finding herself faced with needing an online site AND interest with wholesale buyers. Isn't that THE best news?! Congratulations, Laura!
Magic Maker Candles focuses on quality. Each candle is a unique act of love that brings delight to the buyer. "I like the idea of my customers lighting Magic Maker candles in their home, turning on some music and just relaxing or enjoying the company of their loved ones. There’s just something magical about lighting a candle. I love that I can provide that magic. I’ve also always loved collecting rocks, especially crystals. So adding them into my products is just icing on the cake."
Laura is a people person and loves meeting new people, customers and other makers at shows and events. This part of her "job" makes her day to day not feel like work at all. Getting to hear what Magic Maker Candles customers have to say about the brand is refreshing and reassuring. "I love when people come back to me to purchase more and give me feed back on how much they enjoyed my candles. I also love when customers say how excited they got to get to the crystal that’s hidden inside. "
If you just cannot wait to shop Magic Maker Candles at Boho Saint Jo, you can find them set up each month at the Celina Friday Night Market on the square in Celina Texas as well as The Boho Market (when it comes to Mckinney.) You will be able to find Laura and her magical candles full of good vibes outside in The Backyard. I have other events lined up in the coming months and am in the process of building a website.
If you need a little push in the right direction, Laura's favorite scent out of her product line is Stevie (named after Stevie Nicks). It’s a combination of Sandalwood, Jasmine, and Pine. Magic Maker's top seller is Garcia (named after Jerry Garcia), a combination of Tonka Bean, Oakmoss and Amber -- because it seems to appeal to both male and female customers.
